The requirements
As part of a massive rejuvenation programme along Weston Super Mare’s sea front, a dry stone arch 8m high x 14m long was commissioned to be installed.
TR Services provided the temporary arch-work required to keep the heavy duty structural members in place up until the permanent arch was completed. The most challenging aspect of the project was the extraction of the necessary false-work, which was carried out by sliding the entire structure across transfer beams using high capacity turfers.
